Glendale International Film Festival

The mission of the Glendale International Film Festival (GIFF) is to integrate the film makers and screenwriting arts into the identity, growth and economic vitality of the City of Glendale by presenting an annual film festival which benefits student film makers and screenwriters as well as helps independent filmmakers, artists and musicians showcase their work and get exposure from major studios and industry professionals.  This is the 6th year of the film festival which has successfully implemented great films and screenplays from around the world and has been awarded many honors from the 43rd Assembly District California State Legislature Assembly member Laura Friedman and California State Senate Senator Anthony J. Portantino as well as former Mayor Vartan Gharpetian.

As a non-profit organization GIFF serves the student film maker population by presenting an avenue to show their work, giving them experience in actual film festival participation with the goal of creating an endowment to the schools to support and further the programs currently available.

The Glendale International Film Festival Board of Directors is comprised of talented lovers of film who have gathered together to put their talent, time and expertise in as volunteers.  Our festival judges, screening committees, and even many of our volunteers are respected professionals in the motion picture and television industry. Our festival offers over 60 awards in a variety of categories, with special awards honoring students, women, and local film makers.
